⭐ What Makes This Park Special

Family Caravan & Cabin Stays for All Ages βœ…

G'Day Parks offer a mix of powered and unpowered caravan sites along with cabins that cater to families and groups. Some cabins feature bunk beds suitable for kids, although a few reviews mention mattresses being thin and cabins not always cleaned to a high standard. Families appreciate the availability of sites where kids can play safely, but be aware some parks have issues with site layout and proximity to other campers, which can impact comfort. Overall, it's a decent spot for families wanting a simple, affordable camping experience with access to basic facilities like BBQs and picnic shelters.

Booking & Amenities: A Bit of a Mixed Bag ⚠️

Booking through G'Day Parks can be tricky, with several reviewers reporting difficulties with online bookings, double bookings, and poor communication from head office. Refunds and cancellations are often slow and frustrating, with some customers losing money or waiting weeks for reimbursements. On the upside, many parks have clean and well-maintained amenities blocks, baby change facilities, and parking. Some locations also offer cafes and BBQ areas. If you’re planning a stay, it’s best to call the park directly rather than rely solely on the website, and be patient with customer service.

Great Locations Close to Nature & Beaches πŸŒ…

Many G'Day Parks are situated in scenic spots near beaches, lakes, or bushland, offering a relaxing backdrop for your stay. Semaphore Beachfront Park in Adelaide was praised for its fantastic location and clean grounds, while others like Pambula Beach have been popular for over a decade. Some parks have grassy, matted, or elevated sites that add to the comfort and enjoyment of the outdoors. However, a few sites are described as uneven or gravelly, so it pays to check site conditions before booking if you want a ripper spot.

Safety & Dog Policies: Important to Know 🦘

Safety can be a concern at some G'Day Parks, especially regarding dog control. One reviewer suffered an injury after an unleashed dog attacked their small dog, highlighting inconsistent enforcement of leash rules. Smoking policies also caused issues, with some families affected by secondhand smoke despite designated no-smoking areas. It's wise to check each park's pet and smoking policies before booking and keep an eye on your kids and pets during your stay to avoid any dramas.

πŸ’¬ What Visitors Are Saying

  • The park is clean and well-maintained, as well as being in a fantastic spot.
  • Very difficult to book on line although the personnel at Lake Hume were very helpful.
  • Booked a night with a caravan park in SA but had to cancel due to something out of my control & gave two weeks notice.
  • Stayed at the Penola Park in SA south east. Excellent clean and tidy unit with everything we required.
  • A large dog NOT RESTRAINED ran and attacked me and my small dog totally restrained.
  • Some cabins have bunk beds suitable for small children but mattresses were thin.
  • The smoking got so bad and thick during their β€œhappy hour” it apparently caused the young 7 year old to have a asthma attack.
  • Semaphore Beachfront Park (Semaphore Park) … brilliant … fantastic spot.
  • Paid top price for a cabin, to find campers camping centimetres from my bedroom window.
  • Booking through G'Day Parks website is frustrating and refunds take weeks.
