Farmer Ken is a legend with the young ones, keeping them entertained with farm jobs and animal care. The large grassy paddocks offer plenty of safe space to run around and play, making it a true playground for kids who love animals and the outdoors.

Benson Park isn’t just about the animals — it’s set on a huge property with plenty of walking tracks to explore. One of the standout highlights is the Sunset Bar, offering cracking views over the Murray River, perfect for a chilled arvo with the family. The green paddocks and open spaces provide a peaceful vibe, ideal for relaxing and soaking up the Aussie bush atmosphere. It’s a great spot to unwind and enjoy some quality time away from the hustle and bustle.

There’s plenty of powered sites for vans and campers, along with clean, well-maintained showers and toilets, including baby change facilities. While you’ll need to bring your own drinking water, the site provides fire pits and wood for a small fee, perfect for a cosy night around the campfire. Parking is easy with lots of space, and the friendly hosts make sure everything runs smoothly so you can just kick back and enjoy.

The hosts encourage a laid-back atmosphere, making it easy to feel right at home.

Helping to feed and look after the animals every morning and afternoon was so much fun for the kids.
Ken the owner is so helpful and kind. And the history of the area he has is very rare.
Beautiful big, grassy, flat area for camping in vans, tents or campers. There are hot showers and toilets which are very clean.
The Sunset Bar over looking the Murray was a big highlight.
Farmer Ken is the best host, keeping the kids entertained all day with pony rides, goat performances and farm jobs.
Great toilet/shower facilities, outdoor fire. This place was one of my favourite stays on our trip across Australia.
The campsite is in his field, there’s power and very clean showers/toilets although I suggest you byo drinking water.
Lots of space for the kids to play in a sage area.
Ken, the farmer that runs it, is such a great character. He is an excellent host, full of stories and knowledge to share.
