Benson Park isn’t just about the animals β€” it’s set on a huge property with plenty of walking tracks to explore. One of the standout highlights is the Sunset Bar, offering cracking views over the Murray River, perfect for a chilled arvo with the family. The green paddocks and open spaces provide a peaceful vibe, ideal for relaxing and soaking up the Aussie bush atmosphere. It’s a great spot to unwind and enjoy some quality time away from the hustle and bustle.

This farmstay ticks all the boxes for a comfortable visit. There’s plenty of powered sites for vans and campers, along with clean, well-maintained showers and toilets, including baby change facilities. While you’ll need to bring your own drinking water, the site provides fire pits and wood for a small fee, perfect for a cosy night around the campfire. Parking is easy with lots of space, and the friendly hosts make sure everything runs smoothly so you can just kick back and enjoy.

  • Helping to feed and look after the animals every morning and afternoon was so much fun for the kids.
  • Ken the owner is so helpful and kind. And the history of the area he has is very rare.
  • Beautiful big, grassy, flat area for camping in vans, tents or campers. There are hot showers and toilets which are very clean.
  • The Sunset Bar over looking the Murray was a big highlight.
  • Farmer Ken is the best host, keeping the kids entertained all day with pony rides, goat performances and farm jobs.
  • Great toilet/shower facilities, outdoor fire. This place was one of my favourite stays on our trip across Australia.
  • The campsite is in his field, there’s power and very clean showers/toilets although I suggest you byo drinking water.
  • Lots of space for the kids to play in a sage area.
  • Ken, the farmer that runs it, is such a great character. He is an excellent host, full of stories and knowledge to share.
  • A visit to the sunset bar on the property is an absolute must do as well.
