🌿 A ripper little green patch with shady trees and bubblers, perfect for a quick brekkie or picnic, mate!
Buckland Park in Springwood is a modest green space ideal for families looking for a quick stop-off or picnic close to the shops. While it lacks play equipment and toilets, the park offers plenty of grassy areas and good shade from trees. A bubbler is handy for a refreshing drink, and benches provide a spot to rest. It's best suited for older kids or adults as toddlers need close supervision due to proximity to busy roads. Overall, it’s a simple, quiet spot for a breather on a drive or a casual outdoor hangout.

⭐ What Makes This Park Special
Shady Picnic Spots and Chill Vibes 🌳
Buckland Park offers plenty of grass and good shade from mature trees, making it a nice little spot to kick back and enjoy a picnic. The benches scattered around give you a comfy place to sit while the kids run around on the grass. It’s a quiet, no-fuss park ideal for a quick brekkie or arvo stop, especially since it’s close to Springwood shops and local cafes. Just bring your own gear and enjoy the calm green space away from the hustle.
Handy Facilities for a Quick Stop 🚰
Though Buckland Park doesn’t have toilets onsite, there’s a bubbler for a quick drink and bins to keep the place tidy. The park’s location right near the shops means you can easily pop over to public toilets just a short walk away. Parking is nearby, making it a convenient spot to stretch your legs on a drive through Springwood. Just keep an eye on little ones as the park edges onto busy roads and parking areas.
Keep an Eye on the Little Ones ⚠️
This park isn’t the best for toddlers or kids who like to wander, as it’s close to busy roads and parking areas behind the shops. There’s no fenced play area or playground equipment, so supervision is key. Also, no toilets onsite means you’ll need to plan ahead or use the nearby council facilities. Some visitors have noted litter on occasion, so bringing a bag to tidy up after your visit is a good idea.
💬 What Visitors Are Saying
- Good little Park for a stop off on a drive. A couple of benches, plenty of grass area and a water bubble and bin (no toilets)
- Fairly sloped park with good shade trees. Good for a picnic as it’s close to Springwood shops, and most importantly Finn and Co 😉
- Not great if you have a toddler or kid who runs off, as it’s right next to the busy turn to the parking behind the shops. No toilets, but there is a bubbler.
- Virtually just vacant council land. Near shops, pub and walk to council clean toilets 150meters
- Some grass and trees, but not much else. No play equipment. Badly littered on the day we visited.
