JP Galvin Park is the slightly raised hill between the beach and the large open space of Stuart Park.
The main features are the large picnic shelters for groups (about 60 sq m) – some with barbeque facilities – and a series of pine trees with some additional seating and grassed areas.
Lots of free parking, but it does fill up quickly on a sunny day.
No toilets in the park, but there are some in Stuart Park and in the North Wollongong surf pavilion.
I think I’ve had my breakfast there about 100 times so far. Such a pleasant and peaceful place in the morning.
