Woowookarung is very vegetated it has lots of trees and plants, it’s full of wildlife and is very ecofriendly.
The lookout was very pretty and showed off a lot of Ballarat.
A huge regional park area with several walks to take your dog.
There are a couple of other great view points in the in the park that are great to visit, and plenty of Wildlife including Echidna, Kangaroo, koala and of course bird life.
Only disappointment are the people that still think it is ok to dump rubbish in the park.
Parking locations in several places around the park, and limited toilet facilities scattered throughout.
I am lucky … I live Neighboring Woowookarung Regional Park. Nothing nicer after a day at work to get on my mountain bike and cruise around the trails in the park.
The bike and shoe cleaning area was easy to use and helped a lot with my bike.
Huge place, lotsa walking trails, hard to find the trail starting point because they are all over the place.
Two attacks on women walking/running in the park, one now missing. Not a safe place to venture into alone.
